TAS Design was founded on the idea that good design is founded in the respect for the environment, not just for the natural environment, but the built environment; time and place in which it was built. The design should feel as if it belongs and has been a part of the community in which it’s placed. Good design is also achieved in the balance of three characteristics that can be defined as aesthetics, functionality, and economics.
Other contributing factors to good design are the relationship of these characteristics and, most importantly, communication. This is represented by the communication of the design to the client, direct communication between the project team members, and communication with the community. It is through this communication that relationships are formed between these three characteristics.
My background began in construction during my college career while I pursued architecture and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture. I graduated in 1997 from Mississippi State University and began my career in architecture. Early on, I knew that I wanted to be a major component/contributor to a firm or an owner and in May 2002 I became a registered architect.
It was during my career that I began to develop my own ideas as to how companies and firms should be managed, and the desire for challenges that it would provide.
